The Glass Gathering Art Show (GGAS) is an annual, one-day exhibition of glass artwork representing the multiple techniques that glass artists use.  Its mission is to support and encourage the growth of artists working in glass.  It provides a professionally executed forum devoted to glass as a medium. Entry fees are $10 for Glass Gathering members, $20 for non-members. Three artworks may be entered that have not won a place award in a past Glass Gathering Art Show.

Taking place at Harmony Stained Glass in Pasadena, Texas, the GGAS 2026 is an open entry exhibition of glass art works. Cash prizes and ribbons will be presented for First Place in each category, People’s Choice, Technical Merit, and Best in Show awards. Anyone wishing to participate should fill out the form below. 2026 Juror: Gene Hester

The judge for this year’s exhibition is longtime Houston area glass artist Gene Hester. Gene helped establish Genesis Art Glass Studio in July of 1976 and has been sole proprietor since January of 1977.  During these 40 years, Gene has created hundreds and hundreds of stained glass panels for residential, commercial and liturgical installations. Mostly self-trained, Gene is also a creative fuser. His commercial and liturgical commissions often combine multiple techniques, and his sculptural fused and cast work rounds out his impressive portfolio. He was a member of Archway Gallery in montrose for a number of years, and currently he lives and works in Hockley, Texas. We are grateful for his involvement as juror this year.
