Activity: Empty Bowls Project

Empty Bowls Houston is an annual grassroots event supported by artists, skilled crafters, students, and teachers dedicated to alleviating hunger in the greater Houston area. Since the inception of the event, Empty Bowls Houston has raised $1,200,846 for the Houston Food Bank!  (This equates to more than 3,602,537 meals for the hungry!)

Glass Gathering members have been donating glass bowls for many years to support the cause. At our April meeting anyone who can work independently to create a bowl to donate is welcome to create a project. Bring your own Bullseye glass or purchase what you need. Harmony will donating all firing needed to complete the bowls.

Anyone interested in continuing the glassy conversation is invited to go to a local restaurant for lunch after the meeting.
